The staff is welcoming and helpful, and has done an outstanding job on arranging and maintaining the fruit, vegetable and herb/flowering gardens. I attended a retreat there; the food was wholesome and well-prepared; the meditation exercises were memorable.

When we were in seminary at San Francisco Theological Seminary, we students would attend services there. It was a beautiful and serene place. Will always remember the spirituality of the monks, would love to go back for a visit.

I spent twelve days practicing with the residents. All that meditation made me very open and vulnerable. On my last day, a Senior Dharma Teacher told me to follow her to an interview room where she demanded, "I want to know what all the anger is about." My effort to bring the incident to the attention of the Practice Committee was rebuffed.

We visited here on our visit to Muir Beach. Previously, I had not known about this place. What a hidden gem. Although there is a road that leads directly here, you also can walk here via a path from the parking lot for Muir Beach. We got to see a little of the operation: the setting up to grow the vegetables they sell, and the layout. The garden is beautiful. There was a school group that was there. That was really great.

Great and peaceful place to walk any day. It's also nice to check the gardens and the greenhouse before jumping to the beach. Anyways, free nice walk and parking. Also they have an interesting shop if you are into Buddhist practices.

Attended a bread baking class here and it was a great experience. The staff are friendly and the setting was Serene and pleasant. They also served lunch which was delicious. Want to come back for a retreat for sure!

On Sundays, the Green Gulch zendo is open for: 9:30am Zazen (come 15 minutes early to get situated).
10:15am Dharma talk There's a bathroom break in between. Then there's a discussion with the speaker at the picnic area with tea. The Bookstore/Welcome Center is open. Find helpful, informed and friendly people within. See you there.
